The clay pot is ancient technology. It’s what our ancestors cooked in. Earth is moulded with hands and water, dried and then hardened by a fire of burning wood to create a functional cooking vessel. These are pots have been used for decades throughout Asia.
Hairline cracks may form over time on the bottom and inside of the pot - this is normal and a natural part of the ageing process. It does not affect your cooking and your pot is still useable. We've been cooking frequently in these pots for over 8 years in both a home and commercial setting and they are still intact, despite the hairline cracks.
