James Ioannou is the founder of Mandarin.

He is a self-taught furniture maker of Greek Cypriot and English decent, living on Bundjalung Country, Australia.

For over a decade James has been in relationship with wood - building houses, crafting skateboards and most recently creating timeless furniture and functional pieces from fallen trees.

He works with respect for the environment, using only natural stains and sealants.
